ConcreCem
Germany - Freiberg - Saksen
In the Eastern part of Germany are extreme climate conditions during the winter period. According German ZTVE road norms, constructions needs to fulfill a number of criteria and requirements as for example frost safety. Many constructions with a total thickness of 80-120cm have winter damages over longer and shorter periods. RoadCem and binder treated materials has a extra ordinary characteristic like, high insulation value and change frost sensitive material into non frost sensitive material, shows a high resistance against low and high temperatures, noise reduction, high shear strength.
RoadCem can be executed as a single layer system which makes it possible to construct fast with use of the materials on site, eliminating import and export to the absolute minimum. Next the asphalt layer fits with the elasticity factor, very well with the RoadCem layer. Both layers connected makes that Asphalt and RoadCem layer can be seen as one layer.
The stabilized base for this secondary road with high volume traffic, dimensioned at 20 years with safety factor 2 was determined at 25cm. The available material on location was treated with 1,7kg RoadCem and 170kg OPC/m3. On top a wearing course of Asphalt in a thickness of 15cm was applied. Construction saving time 50%.
