In eastern Czech Republic near the city Brno, a road pavement was constructed by using RoadCem. The expansion of the village of Pohorolice resulted in the construction of new residential areas. This has resulted in the construction of new roads.
Due to the successful track record of PowerCem road construction in the Czech Republic, the high quality of RoadCem roads is well known. The economic profit, environmental benefit and the fact that it disturbs the neighbouring inhabitants less because the number of construction vehicles are minimised, are some of the main advantages of a RoadCem pavement construction.
The current soil is high plasticity clayey soil. This soil is mixed with RoadCem, water, and cement. The thickness of the stabilisation is 0.25 m. On top of the stabilisation, an asphalt surface layer of 0.05 m was laid.
The pavement construction for this urban road will have a lifetime of 20 years.
The RoadCem stabilisation construction was finished in 3 days. And 2 days later, the asphalt was laid on top of the RoadCem stabilisation. After 5 days, the road was finished!
