Russia - Orel Region

The Orel regions with their federal highways are very important as Central Part of Russia, near to Moscow and on short distance to neighboring regions. 241 km of roads are without covering and a large portion approx. 80% of asphalt covered roads are in a bad condition and needs to be rehabilitated within a reasonable time frame due to the economic lost and safety of traffic infra users.

Asphalt and bitumen is not sufficient available in the region(s). The innovative product RoadCem is able to turn the material on the spot into a high quality flexible monolithically structure with physical values crossing partly the physical value and characteristic of asphalt concrete.

RoadCem opens new dimensions in durable construction and long term planning.

The Government of the Orel region is keen on new proven technologies and has an open eye on economical and durable development of the region especially when environmentally friendly and a low ecological footprint can be achieved with maximum effect for the whole region. For that reason the Orel Government supported the initiative of the rehabilitation of the first important project as start for a major initiative in the region. On July 24^th a presentation and press release was the go ahead signal for the project which is witnessed by press and Government.

Several layers of old cracked asphalt in different classification types were crushed and turned into a new flexible carpet which was covered by a thin cosmetic asphalt layer connected to the flexible RoadCem layer.
