Near the village Tvrdonice, in the Czech Republic, a RoadCem stabilisation was constructed for the road infrastructure for the company Eckelmann s.r.o. For the client, it is important that the pavement infrastructure is finished as soon as possible and this with an economic profit, compared with a tradition construction method.

The pavement areas have parking areas, load areas for trucks and emergency roads around the building. By using RoadCem stabilisation it was possible to finish the pavement construction in 2 days.

Around the building, 'backfill' material was laid on top of the clayey sand soil to level the area. During the construction of the RoadCem stabilisation it has to be taken into account that there is a high groundwater table. After this backfill material was brought in the right profile, the backfill material was mixed with RoadCem and cement. The thickness of the stabilisation is approximately 0.25 m.

After the RoadCem stabilisation was finished, an asphalt surface layer of 0.5 m was laid on top of the RoadCem Stabilisation.
Due to the limited thickness of the surface layer, it is important that the RoadCem stabilisation is finished at the right level and checked with specialised equipment.

After a few hours, the RoadCem stabilisation was finished. Before laying the asphalt layer, the surface level of the RoadCem stabilisation was modified. After that, an asphalt layer of 0.05 m was laid on top of the RoadCem stabilisation.
