RoadCem for cost effective roads
RoadCem is specifically designed for applications in road construction and stabilization. It is a fine grain sized additive based on alkali earth metals and synthetic zeolites complemented with complex activator giving it unique properties.
RoadCem enhances and increases the strength and flexibility of stabilized road layers and improves the overall performance of cement bounded materials used in road construction. Used in conjunction with cement it improves the quality of the cement needed and allows road construction even with materials previously considered inappropriate for this purpose.
Innovative characteristics
RoadCem modifies the dynamics and chemistry of the cement hydration process and extends the crystallization process by forming long needle crystalline structure. It is able to delay or to speed up the hydration process of cement and can thus be used as a tool to custom design the mixes of required performance. Its ability to bond any type of material allows road construction with in-situ material of any kind eliminating the need for material import and export and in so doing significantly reducing the cost of road construction and the environmental impacts there-off.

RoadCem is also used for the construction of large area slabs in parking lots, for industrial flooring, for loading areas and similar and in such applications allows for the construction without expansion joints.

Environment friendly
RoadCem is environmental friendly and fits in the Clinton Climate Initiative. This is confirmed and reported by Dutch accredited laboratories after investigating the leaching behavior of composite materials for a simulated period of 100 years. Composite materials stabilized/solidified using RoadCem treated materials have successfully passed the Dutch Environmental Tests and have been certified to be used as Category One Building Materials according to the Dutch Building Materials Decree.
CO2 reduction is a fact
RoadCem helps to reduce CO2.
Hence, the use of RoadCem enables the reduction of CO2 equivalent to 66 kgs per m2.
Technical aspects that counts
RoadCem is application friendly and can be used in conjunction with labor intensive construction method if required in developing countries. In general the application is fully mechanized.
RoadCem has been used successfully for road construction throughout the world - from Canada to South Africa and from Germany to Russia - and has always been better and faster and more cost effective compared to conventional construction methods. RoadCem makes the use of materials such as coarse ash from coal fired power stations in road construction possible.
RoadCem is generally used together with cement or in a special blend with fly-ash. In general we recommend a dosage ranging from 1,2 kg to 3.5 kg per m3 of mixture used in road construction depending on local conditions.
